dim creeper asked:
I wondered if you could tell me, if you feel the old classics are better than some of the newer tunes? or vica versa
I assume by what you mean as a classic you are not referring to classical music. I do feel that a lot of the music produced now is not as good, or for that matter will stand the test of time as the ones from my youth have. The Stones, Queen, Abba, to name a few. These are groups still listened to by old and young alike. Students I have worked with ten years ago have raved about groups and how wonderful they are, but soon they will be forgotten. Always remember today's news is tomorrow's fish and chip paper. Or today’s CDs are tomorrow’s toys hung up in a chicken run.
George Roof asked:
I thought i would ask a question and see what your made of, so here goes. What did you think of Arnocorps, and is there music upto scratch of the terminator.
I do feel that the Arnie team in Predator were not a patch on the Arnocorps. At least the Arnocorps lasted until the end of the session. Which is more than can be said for the team of little girls in Predator. As for the Terminator I do feel the vocals were not in the same league as Arnocorps. The music was a bit loose and the sounds of gunfire tended to drown some of the vocals. Also Arnie was a bit off key at times .
Elastic ears asked:
Hi Mac, What`s your favorite cyndi lauper song?
I just cannot choose which of the Cyndi Lauper songs I like the best. My feelings for all of them are the same and nothing stands head and shoulders above the others. Overall the quality of the vocals and complexity of the music left me wanting. I can easily wait to hear this singer again.
Morf asked:
Are you like 118 118? Can I ask you anything?
Sort of - but much more handsome. Yes, although any questions about the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow will guarantee you being smacked round the ear with a rolled-up newspaper.
hyperdrive boom asked:
Wooow looks like you have your own section! So was there ever a time that you was into Nu - Metal?
Indeed and very nice it is too. In answer to your question, I haven't a clue what this 'nu-metal' is, but I'm guessing that it's either a horrendous racket that you youngsters pollute your ears with, or a new kind of experimental building material.
